The “Meet the Buyer” event, held on November 13 under the leadership of Tartu’s Living Lab and Bax, can be considered a success. The event showcased the innovative solutions being used in the renovation of Tartu’s Living Lab pilot building. Participants included representatives from the Baltics as well as European project partners.
The first speaker was Martin Talts, CEO of KMT Prefab, who presented the prefabricated elements used so far and the buildings renovated with these components. He also confirmed that, through collaboration with Tallinn University of Technology, they are ready to renovate high-rise buildings using prefabricated insulation elements. A representative from Solarstone introduced ways to easily install solar panels on prefabricated elements to create a vertical solar park on the building. Project partner Enefit discussed how to maximize the efficient use of electricity produced by the solar park within an apartment building.
