polisMOBILITY is an international event that takes a whole-system approach to the future of mobility and urban life. Innovative, lively and inspiring, it will be held at Cologne’s trade fair grounds from 24 to 26 May 2023. The trade fair has been conceived as a platform for dialogue between all players in the field of urban mobility.

The Smart Cities Marketplace will offer its matchmaking services to participants of the conference. Meet us at the EIT Urban Mobility stand (stand number  D018/E019 in hall 1.2)  in the Cities & Regions area, join our presentation on matchmaking in the expo area, and/or pre-book a 1-on-1 meeting with the matchmaking team by sending an e-mail to matchmaking@smartcitiesmarketplace.eu with the subject “polisMOBILITY | meeting with matchmaking experts” and join our financing workshop in the mediaLOUNGE.

This session offers insights into how cities can overcome these challenges by collaborating with different entities and leveraging various financing opportunities.

Our expert panel features a city representative, an investor, and a technology provider who will share their experiences in finding project and financing partners to ensure a successful implementation and further management of smart city projects. By attending this session, you will gain valuable knowledge and inspiration to help your city or municipality secure financing and implement smart city solutions.

The Smart Cities Marketplace will introduce the free support mechanism of its matchmaking activities and how cities and stakeholders can benefit from this service. After the session, all participants will have the opportunity for a follow-up one-on-one consultation with the Marketplace experts.

Practical Details

City Event
On 27 and 28 May 2023, immediately after the trade fair event, polisMOBILITY will transform into a city event and move to the centre of Cologne. The aim of this format is to engage members of the public and civil society in a conversation about sustainable mobility concepts.

The polisMOBILITY conference plays a key role in this regard. The interdisciplinary conference pays particular attention to strategies and solutions for future mobility ecosystems. Its strategic focus is to facilitate dialogue between businesses and municipalities (B2G) as well as between companies themselves (B2B).

The annual general meeting of the Association of German Cities will be held at Koelnmesse’s Congress Centre East at the same time as polisMOBILITY.
